Managers must permit employees to see their dialogue comments. Here's how!
The default is that employees cannot see the managers ratings. This only changes if the manager (or Admin) gives permission. This permission can be given in the Final Comments section when the manager sees that both have completed the review and are ready to meet for discussion. Some managers give this permission for usually one of the following reasons:
- The manager is comfortable with the employee reviewing both sets of comments prior to meeting to formulate questions.
- They will be meeting online or via phone and the manager wants the employee to be able to follow along without sharing screens online.
Adding Final Comments alone does not give this permission. The managers must click on the Approve link which takes them to the Comment page. Managers can simply add their Comments and click Update.
To allow employees to see the comments, managers must select Yes in the drop-down and click Update. Otherwise, again, the default is No.

See the yellow box for permission to see comments.
